What to put on a digital visiting card: a simple checklist
A digital visiting card is a small web page you can share by link, QR code or NFC card. Its job is simple: help someone remember you and get in touch. These are the things that make it work.
The essentials
- Your name and role, written the way people will search for you.
- Your business name and logo.
- A clear photo, if your business depends on people knowing you personally.
- One-tap contact buttons for calling, WhatsApp and email.
- A “save contact” button, so your details go straight into their phone.
Useful extras
- Your location, with a map link if customers visit you.
- A short list of services, written in the words your customers use.
- A few real photos of your work, if you have permission to share them.
- Payment details or a UPI link, if you collect payments on the spot.
What to leave out
- Long company histories. Nobody reads them on a phone.
- Every social media link you’ve ever made. Keep the two or three you actually use.
- Claims you can’t back up. Skip “No. 1 in the city” unless you can prove it.
Test it before you share it
Open it on your own phone, on mobile data. Tap every button. Then send it to a friend and ask them to save your contact without any help. If they get stuck, simplify it.
